Our evaluation standard
The C.L.E.A.R. Lens
Before recommending any scheme, we run it through five non-negotiable filters.
C
Consistency across market cycles
3yr, 5yr, and cycle-adjusted performance. How did the fund behave in the 2020 crash, the 2022 rate hike cycle? Not just last year's rankings.
L
Low cost structure
Expense ratio compounds against you every year. We benchmark every scheme's TER against its category average. A cheaper fund with equal returns always wins.
E
Experience of the fund manager
Tenure, track record across schemes, and whether past performance follows the manager or stays with the fund. A fund is only as good as who runs it.
A
Alignment to your goal and risk profile
The highest-rated fund in India is wrong if it does not match your timeline and risk appetite. We never recommend category first. Goal always comes first.
R
Resilience in downturns
How far did the fund fall in past corrections? How fast did it recover? For first-time investors, downside control matters more than peak returns.
